This is a hands-on workshop of 16 hours where participants will learn Theatre concepts and techniques by means of a professional production (one hour play) that they will rehearse and stage to an audience after workshop completion. The script and roles will be assigned to each participant at workshop commencement and, under the direction of a professional theatre group, each participant will be guided to enact the character to his/her best.
If you are someone who is interested in theatre from the perspective of directing rather than acting, you will be trained in theatre direction aspects through this workshop.
Home assignments will be given by the end of each session and it is expected that each participant carries out the same. Attendance to each of the 8 sessions of the workshop is mandatory for all registered participants as this is a group workshop where interactions and group rehearsals are the key steps towards the finale performance. Each workshop participant also gets 2 free tickets for the final show.
Participants need to go through a simple audition before joining the workshop to assess readiness for this Theatre practical workshop. Audition is scheduled at The Circular Square on Sunday 12 Jan 10:30 am-12:30 pm
Workshop time: All Sundays from 19 Jan to 8 March 8:30 am-10:30 am
