About Devkund

Devkund Waterfall is a virgin place with clear water. It is the s confluence of three waterfalls and is said to be the origin of Kundalika river. It is about a three-hour trek from base village along the dam backwater and through forest to reach this place known as Devkund. A major part of the trek goes through some semi-dried forests with the river running parallel and sometimes crisscrossing through the route.

This trek can be done by amateurs as well. The approximate length of the trek is 4.5km which includes a hike alongside the Bhira dam, patches of forest cover, a small water stream, and open fields. There is no big ascend throughout the trek excluding the last 10% which requires a 300ft approx. of gradual ascending to finally reach the waterfall.

There are 3-4 stream like patches where water is poured during the monsoon, give you a thrill of river crossing! Devkund waterfall trek offers the combined pleasures of a lake, tall rock faces, a dense forest with abundant flora & fauna and a waterfall, all in one place!!

11.15 Pm :- Departure from Dadar
11.30 Pm :- Pick up from Chembur
11.50 Pm:- Pick up from Vashi
12.15 Am :- Pick up from Panvel.

Iternary:-
 
Day 0 :- (Saturday)
11.00 Pm :- Meet  the Team at Dadar (Pritam Hotel)
11.15 Pm :- Bus Departure from Dadar
11.30 Pm :- Pick up from Chembur Star Mall
11.50 Pm :- Pick up from Vashi
12.15 Am :- Pick up from Panvel (Kalamboli McD)

Day 1 :- (Sunday)

4.30 Am: - Reach Base Village, Freshen Up.
6.00 Am: - Breakfast
06.45 Am: - Introduction Round
07.00 Am: - Start Trek to Devkund
09.30 Am: - Reach Devkund Waterfall
10.30 Am: - Start the trek back to base Village
12.30 Pm: - Reach the Base Village, Take Some rest and have lunch
02.00 Pm: - Start the Return Journey to Mumbai
06.30 Pm: - Reach Mumbai (tentatively depends on traffic) and promise to meet again.

Event Fee :- Rs. 1300/-  Per Person.
Payment once done is non –refundable, do check the availability before making the payment.

Trek Cost Excludes :-

Anything not mentioned in the inclusion.
All kind of extra meals/soft Drink ordered.
Any kind of personal Expenses.
All expenses incurred due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances like road blocks, bad weather.

Things to Carry :-

Good Trekking shoes & Extra Pair of floaters.
Extra Pair of Clothes (Optional)
Water (min 2 ltrs) compulsory
Some ready to eat food like biscuits, plum cake,etc.
Medicines if any required
1 packet  of electrol , enerzal , glucon D
Avoid Wearing precious ornaments on an event, if possible.
 A haversack or backpack to put all the above things to be carried, so hands are free to help each other while trekking. Sling bags / jholas / trolley bags etc not allowed on the event. Please pack accordingly.
Cover the bag with rain cover.

Things to Remember:-

Basic toilet facility will be available at the base village.
We advise participants to not opt such event with any medicial issues.
We don’t recommend participants to reach the base village with own vechile as considering complicated route & respecting everyone’s time.
Smoking / drinking / Smoke up is strictly prohibited during the event. Anyone found will be expelled from the event immediately.
Trek Leader decision will be final & argument will be enterainted.
Participants Safety is the prime concern for us and will not compromise for the same.
Trek India is not Responsible for any baggage or personal belonging loss/damage and participant are responsible for the same.
Don’t except VIP or Luxurious treatment, as we are going for the Trekking/camping, so be adventures and free.
