How To Implement A Successful Business Model With Sairam Balasubramani

In this workshop, you will learn the key steps to take to design or innovate your own business model. You will learn about the trade-offs to be made, and the design issues that are critical for a viable and sustainable business model. This course will help you answer questions like, how do I create a simple business model in a structured way, how do I engage my users and how do I create value for my customers as well as revenue for my company.

This workshop is limited to 10 participants for the effective transfer of knowledge and fruitful interaction.

Topics covered are:

1. Design Thinking

How to design a successful business model? How can that improve your own business? In this first block, you’ll learn about designing a business model. An introductory course that will bring you up to speed on what is business model innovation. A case study that will tell you about design thinking and how that helps to come up with creative business model ideas.

2. Creating Value to Customers

We go a bit deeper into the questions of What and Who. We will discuss the What: how to provide offerings that meet the 'needs' and 'wants' of a customer. But Who exactly are your customers?

3. Drawing a simple business model

In this block, we will focus on capturing value with business models like CANVAS. We will discuss different revenue models that you could use in your own company and how to deliver that value to your customers.

4. Designing complex business models

Drawing a simple business model might include having a CANVAS, if partners and technologies are important, you’ll need other approaches. In this block, you will learn alternatives to the CANVAS model.

• Anyone with a zeal to learn something new every day and a passion towards entrepreneurship.
