Looking for a platform for your first foray into the world of music and poetry performance but worried you might break a string, lose your voice, or present to a crowd who barely knows you? Better to know what it's like to find yourself nervous, unready at this stage than on one that takes a lot more organization to reach.
At our open mic, we encourage the musically talented and those penning their own poems, to come forward and take on the mic, try your piece in an intimate setting, have it heard by a fresh pair of ears and sit back down. While you are here, connect with others you see around. After all, if you are at this meetup, you already are amongst like-minded people who share your interests.
No restriction on minimum/maximum age to participate, nor restriction on genre/language of your piece. We have one mic per performer with a suitable sound arrangement for you to take the mic and connecting your backing track (if any) to speakers at the venue. Please bring along anything else needed for you to take on the stage.
